Hey all now how many people know the rules of photography in particular the rules on copyright theft?
I saw this in the readers gallery and was all ready to give the guy mega praise.
Then read his remarks he "copied it" from a poster.

This is theft end of story

He says it's a shot of a print which could well be his own I suggest messaging the poster and double checking the situation before you jump to any conclusions.

You might want to give him guidance before you hang, draw and quarter him.

I think you're being very condescending and patronising and in turn making yourself look just as bad as him if it is the case that this is stolen.

Obviously he is unaware of the rules, Would it not be better to point them out to the individual in question, and ask hime to remove the upload and not to do such a thing again, Rather than go off on one and create a thread on the subject.

If you report it as an error - they even get an e-mail... Much quicker than rounding up the villagers, lighting the torches and grabbing a pitchfork.
