Does anyone else think this year's Springwatch is so much better than in previous years? More nature, less mucking about. Really enjoying it. Smile

I am enjoying Springwatch, unfortunately I just can't warm to Gillian Burke.............she makes me feel as if she's talking down to me and her sentances usually start with "Now........." or "So............".

Personally I prefer Gillian's delivery to Michaela Strachan's she is a bit too erratic and jokey for me.
Good this year and there is time for a lot more detail, last night's item on wasps for example. I was once bitten on the tongue by a wasp so I hate the b. things, but I learned a lot yesterday.

I no longer watch it as i just can't stand Chris Packham nor did |I like Michaela Strachan - too screechy!

They've done well considering the lockdown. In effect there's no difference to their coverage, for example in the use of remote camears as they've used those for a long time.
What is clear is that they don't need the expense and disruption of a small vilage worth's of vehicles and personnel camped out at a single location.
Chris Packham is a accomplished photographer. Worth remembering seeing as we are on a photographic site Smile

But he is rather arrogant about his photography with an attitude of 'no-one does it better' in my view - the same with his presenting.

It is IMO much improved; the presenters aren't assuming that their audience has all the attention span of a flea and aren't erratically jumping from subject to subject with no more than a few seconds on each; much more watchable now.
