Hi All. Noticed for quite a few mornings now, over the north west, a bright star, plant, or is it the space station, any body any ideas what it is, someone at work reckons it's Jupter, Pete

It's Jupiter. It's at opposition on Friday, that means that Jupiter the Earth and the Sun are in a line and Jupiter is at its closest to Earth. The only planet brighter than Jupiter is Venus, but you'll never see Venus in the west in the morning. The space station moves quite rapidly across the sky.
