Street stock photography

Many thanks for your swift response Saltireblue. I know that they could only be used for editorial purposes i.e Buskers on a busy street for a tourism piece. More interested to know if anyone has similar images in a stock library and if the sales make the investment in time for keywording etc worthwhile

If you are serious enough to make photography as business, open a personal website and market it, like, participate in various social photo sharing sites, take part in various competitions etc.
I agree with Malc above about model release and property release, commercial photography is different, you have to keep in mind your probable customers and to satisfy them, so street photography is not the best option to sell through the micro stock agencies, IMO...

Its a numbers game a long and slow one at that there are literally millions of images on the site if you think it's a quick and easy way to make money forget it . On the positive side if you have fresh unique content preferably with release's (model or property) you can make good money . Your work has to stand out from the crowd and good keywording is essential. For me it's a hobby, somewhere to put my photos if i sell great if i don't no worries. Try it and see how it goes just don't give up the day job.

Thanks everyone. Photography is not my day job, just a side gig. I already have general images on stock sites. It was more a specific around street content that I have never tried to market before. I'll select a few images and see how i get on over the next year.
On the sell via my own website, this is an ongoing challenge for many content creators, setting the website up is easy, it's driving enough regular users and buyers to it that is the challenge.
Thanks all
