Stuck pixel in LCD screen

There is a "stuck" pixel (red) in the LCD screen of my camera. I have checked and it does not affect images at all. Just a bit annoying.
I have read on the web various methods of sorting stuck pixels, including applying pressure with a damp cloth and something like a point of a pencil to the area of the screen affected. All sounds a bit dodgy to me!
Has anyone tried this, or another, method? Or is it better just to ignore the little blighter?

Thanks for the advice Umberto and Malc.
Taking no action............ worked - stuck pixel appears to have unstuck!
I was covering a corporate event a couple of days ago and was turning the camera on and off quite a bit (in between the tedious monologues!) to save battery. I think that might have helped.
