Sunlight Band

Hi guys!
Where the bright sunlight transitions into blue sky here there is an obvious band or sudden change of colour from bright sun to blue. I took this on the iPhone 6s. The sunlight seems to be in bands. Is there anything that can be done in Photoshop to fix this?

There was a similar question to this recently... The banding is the result of a number of things, the two most common being file compression and compression of the colour gamut. The sky is always one of the first areas to suffer, not a lot that can be done, a very slight blur of the sky area may help, or if it is gamut compression a different rendering intent could possibly help.

A common problem with phone pics I fear.

Thanks guys!
I actually donít really know anything about compression. This may have been saved as a JPEG but I can also save my phone photos as RAW using the moment app. Would this make any difference?

Also, I noticed it more after sharpening.
