Hello I use over a year now canon R with Tamron 24-70 g2 and I have an issue even I take my lens in service, and they confirmed that i have last firmware also. I have the issue that when I use them for sometime and my camera goes to stand by mode my focus on my Tamron Locks and I have to tune off my camera or remove my lens to work again. Its very annoying and I can't find any solutions because I don't fined someone else speaks about it.

I don't have a Canon camera and others on here may know more than I do about the difficulties you are having, but it sounds to me as though your camera is turning off to save power - most cameras have this facility, batteries can be very quickly depleted and then nothing will work. The lens will also turn off. I have always been in the habit of turning my cameras off when I am not actually in the process of photographing, this saves battery and 'reboots' both camera and lens, have you tried this to see if it solves your problem?
