I have a Nikon D70 which 'seems' to have developed a slight problem (might be something I have done, but can't work out what)
When I turn it onto manual and set the shutter speed to 1/125th (or anything really) and press the shutter - it fires................However, when I switch on the flash and press the shutter I get a 1/2second delay before the shutter fires (it syncs with the shutter/studio flash etc - just has a delay). Using an IR trigger to set off studio heads.....immediate responce again.
Resetting to factory settings has made no difference

WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WRONG?

Roy sounds a little familiar. I sent mine to Nikon and they sent it back with some sort of new internal battery thing ????? not sure what but all was fine Smile))

Yep - sounds familiar. I had this problem when using my D70s and SB600 on iTTL mode and never got to the bottom of it. It seems to be intermittent though - it's stopped again now!

It's an annoying little quirk especially when trying to capture fleeting facial expressions. No such probs with my D200 tho!!

Not had much luck from Nikon yet.......'Push the reset button and see if that works'........like I hadn't tried that!

I will keep you posted
