The Last Rowardennan Raffle

During the last Rowardennan meet Davie very kindly suggested that the raffle proceeds be donated to Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, at which I had my recent heart op.

I had my follow up meeting with the surgeon today and took the opportunity to pass on the raffle proceeds. As it is close to Christmas I decided to donate the money to the staff funds of the wards which looked after me, instead of the overall hospital pot. So some went to the Post Op Critical Care Unit and the remainder went to the ward where I remained for almost a week. The staff in both wards were brilliant and I have nothing but admiration for their professionalism.

So, a big thanks to all who bought the tickets and made this donation possible. I'm sure given the opportunity the staff would also thank you.

While I have your attention I'd also like to say thanks again for all the support Robbie had during and after my stay, it meant a lot to both of us.

Anyway, enough rambling. Smile

Ian

Great to hear you gave the money to the 'little people' rather than the big pot Ian, I think it probably did a lot more for moral than the latter would of,especially at this time of year Smile
