In case a certain little lady comes by.
Oh me, oh my, in case a certain little lady comes by.

Well, I spose they didn't have internet back then.

Well, not everything here fits the cliche category, despite my recent pictures culled from archive (yes including a steam train that got far too many votes).

The other day we had a suberbly lit shot of a Ford Mustang at night worthy of a high end glossy mag, and today there was the excellent seascape, and the tent on the salt flats with a moon trail.

Hopefully stuff like this will inspire people to break out of repeating the same old styles.

The car shot was a good example of inspiration. If a shot gets you thinking, how was it lit, would I have done it differently, why does it work?

That's what a good photograph is to me. It gets me asking questions - about anything and everything.
If the story behind the image isn't explained, what was happening? If the light isn't natural, what is it? Technique used if not obvious...etc., etc.

I think this Digital Rev video adds a few more too.
