The sway bar London

21 Mar 2016 5:48PM
Hi
Has anybody done a photo shoot at the Sway bar in London or anywhere similar?
Just wanting some general advise on camera set up.
I have a D7100 18-200 VR lens, automatic flashgun.
I was thinking Aperture 5.6, sp 1/50th iso 400 flash automatic bounced off ceiling.
I realise this is rather vague but any advise or knowledge would be helpful
thanks Smile

It all depends on whether you want images of the interior space, or the people in the space?
The ceilings, from what I could see on their website, look like bare structures so not much to bounce flash off.

Thanks.
It'll be people. I do want some ambient in the shots too using ISO. So maybe use a soft box on the flash and direct it face on ITTL? Unless I can bounce off walls. The ceilings look quite bouncable I thought?

It's quite possible that I haven't seen the ceilings you mean.
There is a neat pack of flash accessories made by Honl, which might help -
They make a foil sheet with a velcro edge, which you attach to your flash enabling you to creat a larger light source LIKE THIS .
That or something similar would help, like you say a small softbox.
With regard to settings, start with the settings you mention, then adjust from there.
The VR should help with the low light too.
