This is quite an interesting look at the town of Freguson one year after the shooting of Michael Brown. It is an emotional mix of despair at 'the system' and a greater sense of community. I just hope that at some point those at the top realise what is actually happening. In fact, I wonder if the problem is not the top but the people in the middle ranks - the ones who make the decisions believing they are what the people at 'the top' actually want.

It was an interesting read.. and through a tragedy, it is as though we can connect so many people together, and get to know them more easily.. varied responses.. but one thing is quite common - the community has come closer..

You need to remember that the police in the USA have a very dangerous job - most of the population have access to guns. About 100 police in the USA are killed every year and half of them are shot dead, so it's not surprising that they're very jumpy when people don't cooperate. You have to treat the police in the USA with great respect - deliberately provoking them is a seriously bad idea.
