Things I have learned since joining EPZ

1. Don't try and copy someone else's style, because you'll fail.
2. Good gear does not make up for lack of ability Sad
3. No matter how good you think you are, there are many people who are better.
4. And quite a few who aren't Wink
5. Don't try and hand hold a 1/60th shot on a 300mm lens.
6. If you spend all day at Marwell in the same position, eventually the tiger will bring out her cubs.
7. All photographers like alcohol.
8. Don't mention the parrot.

You definitely need to come to the Dutch Meet, Bri - and then you will have revise your opinion on point no. 7.

9. Don't worry if you don't get loads of clicks and don't put too much importance on it if you do.

10. Never lose concentration when surrounded by cameras, somebody will capture you doing something daft.

11. For every fact there are at least 3 contradictory ones.

Or are they so spliffed-up that they can't be a*sed taking snaps?????

(carrier bag - that made me laugh! Last time I was at Fuji New York, we were late leaving for the airport. I had the winter vomiting bug and we had all been for a vindaloo the night before. So there we were, stuck in traffic on the NJ turnpike and our US support guy, who was driving us, needs the loo. Like, desperately. He doesn't want to stop, as we are already an hour late for the flight. After 15 minutes of trying to hold it in, he just screams "Oh God, no, has anyone got a carrier bag???" )

15. You will develop the ePZ 'look'. When stood next to another photographer at any event and both holding cameras, you will get that .....'wonder if they are are member' look
