Yes. Move more, eat less. Simple as that.

Unless i keep concentrating on it i can't keep weight off.

As soon as I allow myself to snack or eat late at night it starts crawling back onto me.
I have to actively drink more non alcoholic liquid to help me not eat till meal times. Snacking on fresh fruit fruit is allowed.

Also i have to up the exercise with something like a cross trainer, if i can feel muscles reappearing then this helps me stay true to "eating less and moving more".

Good luck to all you strivers like me that keep on trying to get that medical BMI definition to an acceptable level - i feel like i'll blow away if i ever get down to 'normal' BMI.

There's nothing of me and never has been. In fact, I'm the same weight now that I was when I left school nearly fifty years ago.
I've never dieted in my life. Quite the opposite, in fact!
If I as ever silly enough to attempt to reach my so-called ideal BMI, I'd probably end up dead first.

The trick is to see it as a lifestyle change and not as a diet, most diets fail in the long term, keeping the weight off once it is lost is the hardest part.

For exercise you don`t need expensive gym memberships or need run a half marathon every day, a floor and four walls is all that is needed.

In the commute to work you will be passing all sorts of items that can be used for a workout, from the bus stop poll to the hand rails on the commute train Smile

Completely agree with above, don't diet, make a life style change.

Diets don't work, just ask all the people I know that choose to attend slimming World or other every year cause the weight they lost has somehow come back.

You have to find what works for you, I don't drink alcohol but could sit and eat cake all day. I needed to loose weight without giving up what I liked to eat, so started down the Intermittent Fasting route. I eat the same stuff as before but feel better for it.

Currently lost a stone and a half over the last few months and still loosing. The best thing is if I want to go out and have a nice breakfast with the family I do, I just don't do it everyday.

There are other benifits as well, I'm no scientist so can't confirm all the other good stuff you hear but I used to suffer with extreme acid reflux and heart burn almost all my waking hours 7 days a week, but since fasting I have not had it once, the same for colds used to get them a lot not had one since starting. This if nothing else will keep me the path.

I think the fastest way to give up is to completely take away the foods you love. As they say everything in moderation.
