It's come in very quickly then. Not a trace of it at two o'clock this morning, leaving Manchester. White-out in south Yorkshire now though.

Some light snow in East Manchester but melting slightly. Several roads closed over the Pennines, according to the RAC website. A672 Ripponden, A57 Snake, A53 Cat & Fiddle all closed. A53 near Leek 'hazardous'. Doesn't mention Woodhead but I expect it's 'hazardous' up there as well...Smile

North of Scotland getting dumped on over today and tomorrow, with forecast of up to 50cm over high ground and maybe 20cm at lower levels. The A9 is dodgy and there is an ongoing rescue on Buichaille Etive Mor in pretty severe conditions. Lets be careful out there!

We had a huge blizzard a couple of days ago which carpeted the school, then one hour later, as quickly as it came, all the snow had gone Sad

Up here in Braemar, Aberdeenshire it snowed last night and has forgot to stop. At present we have 18" and still snowing. Local shops are running out of milk and no bread in the village as delivery lorries can't get through.
We have had snow / hard frosts since the first week in December, over the weekend and Monday / Tuesday we had temperatures of around -18 give or take a degree, but, it warmed up through the day to a tropical -9. Nice bright sunny days.

Going to put another log on the fire

Cheers

Ian
