Using a Leica colorplan 90-2.5 projector lens on my camera

Having seen a video of a projector lens being used on. Micro four thirds camera, and liking the results very much indeed.

I acquired a beautiful ...Leica Colorplan 90-2.5 projector lens.....I have made an extremely temporary M42 mount for my camera, just to see what it can do.

I have been pleasantly surprised at the, still-in-camera images....so I want to make/acquire a helical focus tube.....the projector lens barrel is 45mm diameter ...so a helical focusing tube would need to fit inside or just outside that, so can get rid of the dodgy jury rig.

There are M42 Helical focus tubes galore on eBay, but none mention what diameter the lens needs to be.....I’m not averse to increasing a diameter with tape or rubber seal if I have to.

Anyone.....any ideas please?

Cheers!

I have found that several searches using slightly different wording is often the way to go as different nationalities post in english and their tech terms more often than not are different to my home tongue.
I think living in France clarified this as an original english speaker, more often than not I need to search different words/phrase to find what I require......stuart
