Using Fonts In PS CC

I don't know if anyone else has been getting quite frustrated by all the Arabic, Hindu, Japanese, etc fonts listed in the Adobe fonts list, they are not something I will ever use or need so why isn't it possible to delete them. There appear to be no answers on the Adobe Forum - except I found one - and Hooray it works. In the list of fonts every one has a star beside it. Click on the star beside the fonts that you use and leave the others blank. At the top of the list there are choices (which I must admit I had never noticed), in the middle is a star, click on this and only your starred fonts will appear and all the rest are hidden. Which will save me from a great deal of frustration and possibly even higher blood pressure!!

This has not been a problem to me as I rarely use text as I am normally only editing photographs. However, a similar situation can occur with LR/PS for colour profiles. If you wish to use the proof printing in LR and when you select the colour profiles in the print tab. By default you may be offered all the profiles which may include monitor profiles, old printers long forgotten some workspace profiles as well as the print/paper profiles you actual need. Similarly you can select just those you need regularly instead of have to search through lists of irrelevant profiles.

I think it would be helpful if Adobe issued a list of all these quirks which may not be immediately obvious. For me I have looked at the Adobe Forum on a number of occasions to seek an answer to this which frustrates me enormously and it was only yesterday going through another of the various questions about deleting 'foreign' fonts with an answer from an Adobe employee that it wasn't possible and there, hidden amidst the added queries from even more people, was this one answer. No-one had ticked it as 'correct' but it is as it works!

As I have said before I use bespoke profiles for each of my cameras which are automatically tagged to the images when they are uploaded to LR. As a result of a recent LR upgrade, this feature suddenly disappeared. Like you I searched the Adobe forum where a number of professional photographers had the same issue and, fortunately one had found a solution. To be fair Adobe described the solution but you would have to know where to look.
