Fickle am I, I'll vote for an improved poster as well as a favourite as well as any photo i happen to come across and like. I tend to stop voting on photo's that are similiar to before - votes can depend on time, wind direction and mood.
The only ones that really really count are AU's from good photographers, GE's HC's & EC's.

I think you know in yourself when you are getting better - and if you only chase votes you will never experiment where you are weaker.
Set yourself projects instead and mark yourself.

Quote:EPZ's forum ain't what it used to be, but it still has its moments, so I spend my time winding Chris_L up Wink

After all, the camera is just a tool - the photographer is the creator Wink

I know he's not. I love the way the thinks he was winding me up when I just used logic to destroy his argument, all he could do was dodge the questions with his pathetic poor man's Cantona philosopher act which didn't wash with anyone Grin

you were asking questions that were irrelevant, so I didn't see the point in answering - just reiterated my point a few (dozen) times Wink

When you started the personal attacks about my work, I knew I'd hit a nerve Grin

The questions weren't irrelevant, you were unable to answer them so dodged them by ignoring them and trying to sound all mysterious and guru-like

the fact that you had to resort to personal attacks was the funny part Wink

obviously anyone being attacked is going to react - human nature

For me the fact that you kept dodging the questions about your expensive gear and kept going on about composition "what have x, y and z got in common?" was the funny part. That's why I started talking about your samey composition (nose centred horizontally and vertically on a *lot* of shots) which is a bit of a habit you've got, which I think you admitted to. Wink
