Hi All,

Hope all is safe and well

Bought a new lense this week 16-300 tamron to go on my Nikon D7000 and in the view finder it was like looking through the tube of a Toilet roll really bad Vignetting, hence I returned it.

Does any one have idea what the problem was?

Best Regards

Tony

I have just read the DPReview of this lens and it would appear from their testing that they did not find this.

Perhaps your lens was faulty - it seems odd that the critique of it is positive and you found it virtually unusable.

I have had Tamron zoom lenses and always found them very good.

There was a Teconvertor attached, or maybe a downsizing ring on the front filterWink

Really a pointless and impossible to answer question... The lens has been returned, there are no samples. A TC is not going to cause vignetting... No one is going to be able to answer this question.

Sounds like you need to upgrade your toilet rolls.
I don't get vignetting when I look through mine. Not that it's something I do on a regular basis Grin
