I've just ordered a cheap little Fujifilm XP130 to take to Wales soon as I want to snap some shots out on a boat. I've not used any waterproof/underwater gear before and I'm not expecting miracles of such a cheap compact, but any hints or tips would be appreciated.
Tks

Don't push it too hard. If you shoot several shots in rapid succession the camera has a tendency to overheat. I was using it as a backup camera for doing street. After several quick shots in rapid order the camera got hot, shut off, and never turned on again. Cheap is cheap.

Thanks for that tip. I rarely take more than one shot at a time but I'll bear that in mind. Smile
It might be a cheap model, but I only intend to use it for record shots so I'm not going to spend lots of money on a good camera. I might only use it once or twice.

Have been giving the camera a trial run, and although basic, it'll suit me for what i want to use it for. One question, when taking shots at sea, the water will probably be quite dark and the dolphins moving quite fast (hopefully we'll see some). Would it be best to use Sports mode in this situation as there are no speed or aperture settings, it's all auto.
Thanks.
