As we are slowly but surely heading for lighter times - at least weather-wise - I would like to see your efforts on the theme of light or lighting.
Anything at all, from the light from your bedside alarm clock, car light trails, flare caused by not using a lens-hood, street lights on a foggy night - you name it, anything goes and the possibilities are endless, both indoors and outdoors.

The Rules:

1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. YOUR IMAGE MUST BE TAKEN AFTER THE THEME IS ANNOUNCED.
3. The image must be uploaded in a comment in this thread by 8pm (UK time) on the following Wednesday.
4. Images must be B&W (or sepia toned).
5. Only one upload per member
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week's challenge and the judge’s decision is final.
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week.
8. Have fun
9. Do not point your lens directly at the sun and do not point powerful lights at your eyes

Just to clarify, I am looking for identifiable light sources. The light source should preferably be in the image, but not compulsory...

Hi Gill - good to see you enter our weekly challenge, but unfortunately your image doesn't qualify. Images must be taken after the theme is announced every week, and yours was taken in 2019, according to the exif. Please see the rules in the opening post.
Welcome back with a new image which conforms to the rules!

Thank you. I’ve not got time today, but did walk along the canal yesterday and loved the way the light came through this bridge. Hope it will suffice… I didn’t get a notice there had been an announcement

Storrington Traffic

Well as is now customary I left it a bit last minute again. I had one idea last night but dozed off on the sofa which meant it was no longer possible in the time left so I resorted to some simple traffic trails while on my way back from the local store this evening.

This was the last image I took and it caught a coach going through at the end of the exposure.

OK, then...time to have a look at your efforts. As the hour is getting late (I am an hour ahead of you lot) I'll keep it short and, well, perhaps not sweet, but short, anywya.
Let's get on with it then...

Dave: I do hope that neither your sensor nor your eyes were damaged by this sun worshiping...
Tony: Welcome, oh challenge virgin. This won't hurt. The arrow appears to be showing the way in the darkness. Question is, should we follow it?
Somnath: A real sense of warp speed (Star Trek fans will know all about that) and harsh artificial light, which is unforgiving.
Sylvia: Glad you found the thread and made it in time! The light on the water is subtle and soft. Gentle.
Andrew: I have no idea of your age, but are you the old man who had to go down to the sea again? I can see why, with this light...
Eddie: Low-flying con-trails - brave pilots!

So to the decision. Boris has to go!!!
Oops, sorry, wrong thread...this week's winner and recipient of the black spot is....cue drum roll...

Mr Ryder, aka Dave. I love strong light, deep shadows and contre-jour, and here they are all rolled into one.
Sorry, mate, but you're it this week.
Excellent entries all round and a wide spectrum of lighting conditions. Thank you everyone.
