Weekly B&W Challenge ending 8pm Wed 17th April 2019 - NAUTICAL

Hi everyone,
Well as it's the school Easter holidays I'm taking the opportunity to go away with Mr PL for a week. We've booked a little crofters cottage. We're both taking our cameras with us and hoping for some half decent weather so we can get some nice shots. It's a long journey which includes a ferry ride. So, this week I'd like to see your images on the theme NAUTICAL.
Now I realise that some of you may live in land-locked locations. But don't worry! I'm not necessarily looking for images of sea-faring vessels - canal boats and inflatable dinghies will still hit the brief. Or, anything else that is commonly associated with all things nautical. Think ropes (or sheets, to give them their correct name), knots, life bouys, bells, compasses.... And if all else fails, try doing a Blue Peter (see what I did there?!
) and get creative with some sticky-backed plastic or whatever else you have at your disposal.
The rules, as always, are:
1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. All images must be taken after the theme is announced.
3. All images must be uploaded by 8pm on Wednesday
4. All uploads must be B&W (or sepia toned)
5. Only one upload per member
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week challenge and the judge’s decision is final
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week
8. Have fun but stay safe - especially if you're venturing to the water's edge - we don't want any more tragedies befalling the photographic community.

Lovely to see some entries have already been submitted. 😊
For anyone else who may be all at sea but thinking of entering this week, the final 24 hours is approaching at a fair rate of knots.. Only one more sunset and sunrise (if you intend using them) before you're left high and dry.
Of course, depending when you read this, that may no longer be the case. But worry not...still enough time to get to take part - jump on board! Get yourself ship shape and bouyed up. Show us the cut of your jib and make some waves to trouble the waters of those that have already submitted. 😄

Bloomin' 'eck, it's Pam Ayres in disguise!

Just to let you know....
As the sun has just made an appearance today, me and Mr PL are heading out shortly with the cameras to see if we can catch a decent sunset. So I may be a little late judging tonight.
Please bear with me. I will get the job done as soon as I get back. Shouldn't keep you all waiting too long tho as the sun sets a little earlier round here thanks to a bloomin' great big hill getting in the way. Who put that there?!!! 😄😅😂
