After consultation of the list (and in the interest of an indoor topic) as Still Life hasn't been done for a long time this week lets see some 'Still Life' shots - a teenage perhaps (mine never seemed to move between 14 and 17yrs old) or a culinary presentation etc. etc. A multitude of photographic delight.

Rules

1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. All images must be taken after the theme is announced.
3. All images must be uploaded by 8pm on Wednesday
4. All uploads must be B&W (or sepia toned)
5. Only one upload per member
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week challenge and the judge’s decision is final
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week
8. Have fun

As it's Tuesday, I thought I'd better get my finger out and an entry in.
Not very original, but an entry, at least.
Lonely in here at the moment, anyone care to join in?Smile

I'm just debating whether a photo I took yesterday would qualify

I'll join the party as it's blowing a hooley off the North Sea just now.
I'd put an entry but I'm hopeless at still life and wouldn't even consider my own attempt worthwhile.

I'm hoping to pickup some pointers from all the entries.

well the commonly understood definition of still life is a group of objects artfully arranged - eg bowls of fruit, dead stuff (in my case), odds and sods - but I'm kinda thinking it doesn't really have to be small objects as the image I'm thinking of uploading certainly doesn't come under the tabletop size arrangement Smile

When investigating the possibilities of the genre (read: google it) I found many examples of things that would be extremely difficult to get on any table. Old bikes parked next to fridge in back yard full of rubbish, for example, car-breakers yard...

Entry in - kept with the tabletop but more minimalist than traditional....

I am going to take my image tonight. I have some subjects which are related to my last macro challenge entry. This is as much my forte as Dave said it's his. Then again macro is kind of a still life of sorts.

I badly want to try this theme and believe me it will be badly. Wink

When I first told Sue the topic I'd chosen her immediate interpretation of still life was nude models. Not a happy lady I can tell you...

After a little explanation along the lines of ILs' post Sue was much happier.... Although I could be persuaded.
