Weekly Black and White Challenge - ending 8pm Wed 30th October 2019 - Repurposed newspaper
When I was a nipper newspaper was abundant and put to multiple uses. I recall hearing tales of it being used for unmentionable purposes long before I was born too. An early form of recycling, if you will.
Times have moved on since then, for good or ill - I'll let you decide. But these days we seem to digest most of our news in digital format in one way or another.
This week I'd like to revisit times past. Show me, please, your very best images of alternative uses for newspaper. And yes, that is very definitely an excuse to indulge in a Sunday morning newspaper reading tradition, if that's your thing. 😉
Happy reading folks ... just photograph whatever you use it for (or make with it) afterwards.
The rules, as always....

3. All images must be uploaded by 8pm on Wednesday
4. All uploads must be B&W (or sepia toned)
5. Only one upload per member
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week challenge and the judge’s decision is final
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week
8. Read plenty. Photograph lots. Have fun.

Yes when I was a child (early 60's) I had an Uncle with just such facilities at his home.
I lived with my Gran, we used it as sheets in bottom of budgie cage.

I'm afraid you're showing your age there Eddie. Modern newspapers do print in colour too, you know. 😆 Not that it makes a lot of difference for this challenge, of course.
Sadly, you can't even get chips in newspaper at places like Beamish where they're recreating times past! 🙄
