I have decided to resist the obvious theme of anything new year related, and have instead opted to use Photo techniques as a sort of open theme.
I want to see images using a specific technique. It could be long exposure, panning, ICM, images stitched into a pano, shallow dof, multiple exposures...any technique of a subject of your choice, as long as the technique is produced in camera, not in post processing. Apart from stitching or stacking, that is.

So, free choice of subject matter and technique. Over to you all to show me what clever photographers you all are. I know I won't be disappointed.

The rules:

1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. All images must be taken after the theme is announced.
3. All images must be uploaded by 8pm on Wednesday
4. All uploads must be B&W (or sepia toned)
5. Only one upload per member
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week challenge and the judge’s decision is final
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week
8. Have fun
9. Don't forget to enter!!!

A reminder to all interested parties that you have now had 10 days thinking time, and there are only 3 more days before your entries have to be submitted for the first challenge ending in 2019.
I know the macro challenge is not yet over, but I also know that most of you manage to think of two challenges at the same time.Tongue

I'm planning to try something tonight. Either before or after setting a bauble on fire. Smile

Not too happy with mine and may try recreate a Panorama from the summer - but that's the crux, it was summer and it's damn cold on the sea front just now.

Al - that Free Lensing's a very cool effect...just watched a couple of youtubes about it as I've not heard of the technique before...would make for interesting macros, too.

It's a technique I was familiar with but had never tried. Now I have tried it I will play some more Smile I wanted to try something new for this challenge and although the end result isn't stunning it's been fun playing!
