Weekly Black and White Challenge ending 8pm Wed. 12th Feb. 2020 - Contrasts

This week I am looking for images of contrasts - as in new and used, young and old, black and white (very appropriate), horizontal and vertical, useful and useless, in and out, cat and dog...get the idea? Anything that has an opposite.
Your imagination is your only restriction. This theme also provides an opportunity for those either unable or unwilling to leave the warmth and comfort of their home.
The rules:
1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. All images must be taken after the theme is announced.
3. All images must be uploaded by 8pm on Wednesday
4. All uploads must be B&W (or sepia toned)
5. Only one upload per member
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week challenge and the judge’s decision is final
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week
8. Have fun
9. There is no rule 9 this week...

Yet again, quality wins over quantity...shame there aren't more entries...
Four very interesting and widely divergent interpretations on the theme.
The one that screams 'Contrasts' most to me is also the one I have chosen to be the group's new face - well, for one week, anyway, but that's got to be better than nothing...or...?
Anyway, without any more to-do, I hereby declare that the holder of the golden baton for the coming week is none other than your friend and mine...Dave!
Over to you, matey, and thanks very much for putting in an excellent appearance to all the runners-up this week.
