Weekly Black and White Challenge ending 8pm Wed. 24th June 2020 - In the 'hood
Attention!
This topic is locked.

As some people are still unable to, or unwilling to, venture very far from their home, I thought we'd keep things a bit local, so I want you to take an image of something interesting in your neighbourhood. What it is, I'll leave entirely up to you - it could even be a local interesting character, so nothing is ruled out, everything is ruled in.
The rules:
1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. Your image must be taken after the theme is announced.
3. The image must be uploaded in a comment in this thread by 8pm (UK time) on the following Wednesday
4. Images must be B&W (or sepia toned)
5. Images and result only in this thread - comments/banter/discussion in the 'Weekly Black And White Challenge - Discussion' thread
6. Only one upload per member
7. The person who hosts is the judge for that week's challenge and the judges decision is final
8. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week
9. Enjoy yourself and stay safe.

Tree Among Trees
This was something I found just too late for the recent theme of "Underneath" so I decided to use it here.
It is a small tree that is growing in the middle of five other trees and there are branches directly above it. it didn't seem to turn out well though and was really just blending in to everything else so I used a stronger than usual vignette to assist.

An apology to some, while others will be punching the air in glee, but there will be a distinct lack of preamble, waffle and rambling from me this evening. Today has been physically challenging and I am 100% cream crackered, my brain is scrambled, (more than normal) and my body is complaining like that well-known fashion company, FCUK.
So, to the eclectic collection oh 'hoods - some might well say, motley selection.
I shall get straight to the point and name and shame the winner of the Weekly Black and White Challenge, ending 8pm UK time, Wednesday, twentyfourth of June, in the year two thousand and twenty (I say not 'year of our Lord' as I am a non-believer).
The winner, and new holder of the Golden Shutter Button is:
IR by IL. It appealed to me as the 'hood I'd most like to be in at the moment (albeit, with a 99 from the purveyor in Phil's image)
Over, therefore, to Alison for the new challenge.
Many thanks to all who took part, or even participated.

Well what can I say but thanks (not really)
It's a nice place to wander - I've been doing a 4 or 5 mile round trip a couple of times a week along bridle paths, footpaths, through fields, over stiles. It's ridiculous that I didn't realise it was so close to me until lockdown and I started exploring!
I have not a clue what the new challenge will be but shall endeavour to come up with something asap
