Quote:- not that I'd have felt safe using a tripod in the middle of a railway crossing!!! But at least you get the idea. .

The trains would have passed either side....

Ok time's up. Looks to be a tricky job deciding so back soon after a few more sips of Fursty Ferret.

Great images:

Malc - loved the snow highlighting the delicate branches
Reg - Canadian snow I presume. Loved the texture and gnarled look - definitely no shaky hands despite the cold!
Simon - liked the added squirrel deciding which branch to use
Peter - interesting place but the bronze age remains distracted me from the branches.
Yvonne - the snow looked a bit too artificial and the bauble took centre stage
Dave - loved the negative contrasty effect
Eddie - great composition with almost a stick person waving his arms
Linda - really liked the take with the branch lines - may not be technically a great image but overall this composition works
IL - amazing you found some sunshine with your branching shadows.

By a narrow margin my winner is Alison - IL - so over to you.

My genuine and heartfelt congratulations to IL for her epic win (sniggers like Mutley) and a huge thank you to Phil for making her the winner and for setting and judging this week.

Thanks Phil - I think Smile Indeed there was some nice sunshine this morning Smile

As for Mutley Malc - you can sod off Tongue Smile

I'll set a fresh challenge in the morning if that's ok folks. I kinda have a plan but am watching Digging for Britain at the moment so paying attention to that. Besides my plan might change by morning!

On a point of clarification, could IL please explain the difference between "bog off" and "sod off", as last week she told this Minion to bog off, and this week to sod off. I cannot differentiate between the two actions, and would hate to be caught bogging off when I should be sodding off, and indeed, vice versa.
Your clarification on this matter is most welcomed.
