Seems that it is the time for a seasonal challenge. Something related to lights please - doesn't need to be Christmas decorations if you don't celebrate or can't find any.

The all important rules:

1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. YOUR IMAGE MUST BE TAKEN AFTER THE THEME IS ANNOUNCED.
3. The image must be uploaded in a comment in this thread by 8pm (UK time) on the following Wednesday.
4. Images must be B&W (or sepia toned).
5. Only one upload per member
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week's challenge and the judge’s decision is final.
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week.

For new participants - please be aware that should you win, you will need to set a new challenge and judge it after 'closing time' the following Wednesday.

Good luck.

I lost the 'discussion' again this year and the decorations went up...
I've suggested a holiday next year, flying back on Dec 25th.

We really celebrate Christmas but not the way you generally do, as the challenge will end on 23.12.20 and I shall be on a short tour to some tribal and rural areas from 23.12.20 to 27.12.20 so I may not be able to capture some Christmas light well before 25th December, but on 25th, I am sure I could get the opportunity to capture Christmas light even in that area...

But I shall try to do some work with light...

Hamley's Christmas window. There were lots of lights on the tree but they don't show up so much in b/w.

A little reminder. Only a few more hours left to upload your lights image.

Sorry, but no entry from me this week...the images I took looked pretty OK in colour, but rubbish in b&w so I'd rather pass...
Have as Merry a little Christmas as possible and see you all next time.

Lights

Ok rubbish photo time as I ran out of time to go out and get something.

I was planning to get some reflections in a puddle but never got round to it.

Instead trying to get a bit of Bokeh with the smartphone doesn't work too well.

If I may just point out....

...Whoops!!!

I converted to Black and White in the raw editor on Snapseed but the frame I added appears to have put in a slight blue hue around the edge of the photo.....Blush

An interesting array of images:
there's Dave's creepiest Santa ever, Somnath finding some led bokeh, Chris's window shopping which also looks spooky, Peter getting his decorations well on the way and Eddie running out of time (emptying the glass possibly?) - bluish border ignored.

The winner this week is Somnath with lovely lighting on the portrait and great background. Well done and over to you.

Well done Somnath & Many thanks Phil, saved my blushes.

I shall have to remember adding a specific border in that APP can add colour. Smile
