Weekly IL Black and White Challenge - ending 8pm Wednesday 27th January 2021 - through a window
This week's theme is "through a window" as we are all pretty much confined to barracks for the foreseeable. It could of course be a view out of a window but equally could be from outside looking in. The window should appear, somehow, in the image otherwise we won't know if it really was taken through a window.
The all important rules:
1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. YOUR IMAGE MUST BE TAKEN AFTER THE THEME IS ANNOUNCED.
3. The image must be uploaded in a comment in this thread by 8pm (UK time) on the following Wednesday.
4. Images must be B&W (or sepia toned).
5. Only one upload per member
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week's challenge and the judge’s decision is final.
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week.
8. Have fun as far as possible within the lockdown rules
9. Always ask the window-owner's permission before taking photographs through other someone else's window.
For new participants - please be aware that should you win, you will need to set a new challenge and judge it after 'closing time' the following Wednesday.

Following a suggestion from our esteemed newbie, bluesandtwos, aka, Dave, hows about the person setting the theme being allowed - if they so desire - to upload their own take on their theme, albeit not for the purposes of being judged in the challenge, more so that we others can have a bit of light-hearted banter or extract some liquid from them.
Sounds like a good idea to me...what does everyone think?

Following a suggestion from our esteemed newbie, bluesandtwos, aka, Dave, hows about the person setting the theme being allowed - if they so desire - to upload their own take on their theme, albeit not for the purposes of being judged in the challenge, more so that we others can have a bit of light-hearted banter or extract some liquid from them.

We used to do this on the Monday night challenge - a starter for 10 if you like. Good idea.
