Weekly IL Black and White Challenge - ending 8pm Wednesday 29th June 2022 - People

After the inanimate world of Geology I thought we'd take a look at the animated world of People this week (although I'm not sure how animated the subject of my example is, not indeed what is going on under the towel!)
The rules:
1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. YOUR IMAGE MUST BE TAKEN AFTER THE THEME IS ANNOUNCED.
3. The image must be uploaded in a comment in this thread by 8pm (UK time) on the following Wednesday.
4. Images must be B&W (or sepia toned).
5. Only one upload per member
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week's challenge and the judge’s decision is final.
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week.
8. 'People' can be singular in the sense of 'Person' and hence may also include selfies

People reflected
I left it a bit too late for my liking again this week so waited outside our local Costa Coffee shop to get some pedestrians walking through the village.
The useful thing about using the smartphone is that nobody thinks twice about person and mobile.

Thanks all for your entries:
Dave, nice portrait and I like the way the subject is isolated from the background
CB, another fetching portrait but quite a contrast from Dave's in that your subject blends so seamlessly into the surroundings
Lin, lots of detail and a great expression on the man on the right. It's almost like he's the only one who has seen whatever the disgusting is that he's looking at.
Somanth, I love the contrast between the phone and paper reading and that you can tell so much about the people without seeing them
Simon, you just know the dog isn't looking forward to having the lead on. Looking at the girl and woman on the right, it seems they aren't sure how to fit it either
Eddie, I like this for the reflection of the people in the glass. You're right about the phone thing; people just don't seem to care, but if it was a DSLR they'd be complaining
So as always there's only one winner: all worthy of course but I am going to hand over to Lin this week for her 'priceless expression capture'. Look forward to your new challenge Lin.
