I don't think we've had this before. Basically anything that makes a noise. A nice noise or a nasty one - the world is your oyster.

Speaking of which, whilst you are thinking of a suitable subject, you can practice saying this..... as fast as you possibly can:

"What noise annoys an oyster most?
A noisy noise annoys an oyster most!"

Hope to see the return of some notable absentees, and some new participants as well. Smile

Often it's at the weekend people want peace and quiet - and a noise source is more noticeable!

Kids Toy

i don't actually know the name of these but if you swing it around by its string and let it go so it flies through the air it lets out a whine. It does remind me of something from the old Flash Gordon TV series Smile

OK here goes with my musings:

Dave: it's funny how many of us associate the word 'chainsaw' with 'massacre'! 😱 I like the inclusion of the dB warning.

Steve: an instrument whose noise can cause pleasure or pain! A neighbour of mine leaves her house when her husband is practicing. 😁

Eddie: looks more like a bomb which would make more noise than a whine!

After much humming and hawing, to-ing and fro-ing, I am awarding the prize to Steve. Congrats and we look forward to your challenge. Smile

Ah, um, thanks Wink Fortunately this violin does not get played. The cats would not like the competition.

I guess this means I'd better look back to see past topics, in order to avoid duplication. May I have the luxury of thinking about it for a few hours and posting the new one tomorrow?

Duplication isn't a worry as it gets harder to come up with something that hasn't been covered as time goes on.

While new topics are always welcome revisiting an already covered theme is okay and this can be one that is further down the list.

I tend to check the theme and use the "Find on page" drop-down on the browser to see if an idea is already there.

Always good to sleep on it and post the next day. I have been known to upload new challenges while on my break at work.

Also, well done Steve and many thanks CB for this weeks theme. I could have taken a photo of one of my two sons as they are both noisy but didn't want to go down the cure route. Wink

I thought I would point out that this should have read "Cute route" Smile

I need to remember to proof read when using a smartphone. Grin
