Right Chaps and Chappesses (how on earth do you spell Chappesses, is there such a word, does anyone care?)

For your delectation this week, the topic is 'Eye' in any way, shape, or form. The weirder the wackier the better! Smile

I have submitted, as the new rules permit, my own take on the subject but hasten to add it was a real quicky as 'The Management' has indicated there are some 'little jobs' that require my attention! Grin

As a rule, we have some rules to adhere to, so her they are, for your perusal and pleasure:

1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. YOUR IMAGE MUST BE TAKEN AFTER THE THEME IS ANNOUNCED.
3. The image must be uploaded in a comment in this thread by 8pm (UK time) on the following Sunday
4. Only one upload per member
5. The person who hosts is the judge for that week's challenge and the judge’s decision is final
6. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week
7. Photos in the thread, no links.
8. For new participants - if you win, you will have to set and judge the next week's challenge.

Same here (although only 3mls away), the boys have their own rooms here, beds haven't been slept in since Sept.
Birthday visits in Jan and Feb through the porch glass leaving presents on the doorstep.

The Eyes Have It
No, not quite macro I'm afraid, but very close and I couldn't resist. A 'paper weight' in the form of a clown that I bought many years ago - have photographed it before for EPZ challenges and it has been described as 'creepy' - scary being alone in a dark room at night in it's company but so far no 'incidents'Wink

A selfie, taken using the Fuji app on my iPhone to control the camera. It's a rubbish app and despite shedloads of complaints over a long time, Fuji doesn't seem to be interested in improving it. Such a shame, as it could be an excellent accessory...
Image taken using a 16mm extension tube affixed to the back of my 16-80mm.

"Apple of my eye"

OK. You asked for an eye, so I'm giving you the eye (if you'll forgive the expression). [Actually, it turns out that without even knowing it, you are the apple of my eye!!! 😆😂🤣 ] Anyway, enough of this frivolity - back to business.

I rather suspect this is one of those marmite images - you're either gonna love it or loathe it - for various reasons.
But I am currently trying to get more creative with my photography...and this is the end result of today's efforts, for better or worse.

I could really have done with a red apple, but sometimes in life you just have to make the most of what you have - and this is one of those instances.

This eye is part of a very old hook & loop eye set, stitched to a sales card from the days before decimals. The loops though which the thread passes are approx. 2mm across the inside and the wire looks to be about 0.5mm diameter, and brass I think. The whole thing looks more like ship's moorings at this magnification. Pentax-A 50mm macro lens on 75mm of tubes, 1.6s at f8.

Eye Screws

I see that I ended up going down a similar path to Andrew though the temptation for an eye selfie was great I figured that someone would do that. A trip to the local store earlier today and I found a pack of 5 eye screws and 5 hook screws.

Then it was just a case of arranging them in a simple way and applying a B/W conversion due to lack of colour in the scene anyway.

Times up folks. And some great entries once again! I've only access through my phone until tomorrow morning so to save my eyes and my texting thumb I shall crave your forgiveness and judge and comment first thing in the morning.
Hope that's ok with everyone.
