OK, folks, time's up. I have a glass of red wine and will now peruse your images (and probably ask my wife for adviceSad )

A few thoughts to keep you occupied (I've been typing furiously for the last half hour or so!)

Dave (Imageryonly) - I'm a sucker for tiny, precision tools but unfortunately have hands that just don't match them and tbh I can't hink of any use I could make of them that would justify my owning them. Really nice to see the details, the machining close up - puts a whole different perspective on them.

DaveRyder - ah, crosswords (and a song)! I used to be an addict (is there as song for that?) but my knowledge of the language here is rather pathetic so I can't even do simple ones. Something I miss about the UK, thank-you for the fix!

Malc (Sltireblue) - well I do some cooking, but the lumps of meat in the oven is left to my wife who does these things based on experience. I've occasionally seen meat thermomoters advertised, but have not convinced her to buy one ("what, how much?" is the usual response) - nice to see one, but I'd prefer it in 'some known language' (a misquote from a Poirot film, btw)

AndrewThompson - fascinating. I looked it up on the internet! My wife does embroidery and she is familiar with crewel-work (doesn't sound pleasant, really), says it is rather specialised. We have embroidered cushions, so I suspect you have some nice things around your home.

EddieAC - well, I purposely did not exclude photography so it's fair game. As a Pentax user I'm glad to see one in the frame even if it was taken with a Nikon!

PhotoLinda (Linda) - yes, I think that's a valid excuse and I hope you enjoyed your time with your parents!

If you don't make a living from it, then it's a hobby...Tongue

I like watching Star Trek and have most of the series on DVD box sets but I didn't really consider that a hobby, only a fan thing. Smile

OK, folks, I'm back. A lovely set of images and a difficult decision but unofortunately there can be only one winner, so this week I'm pleased to hand the baton over to AndrewThompson for his excellent photo of crewel work in progress.
Over to you Andrew and thank-you to everybody for making the decision so difficult.

Well done to Andrew and many thanks Pete for this week!! Smile

The camera is one of my Dad's old ones. He had two, this one and another which is faulty. I have used it a couple of times but not in the last couple of years.

I have a model that needs assembling with glue and maybe painting. My son has a model of the Enterprise B which featured at the start of the Next Generations "Generations" movie. I was considering that but in the end went for the camera idea.
