Weekly IL Macro Challenge ending 8pm Sunday 12th February 2023 - Domestic routine

After the pleasure of CB's photo accessory challenge I am back to the normal day-to-day stuff that makes up life .. so this week's challenge takes its inspiration from that.
It can be anything at all, indoors or out, that fits the theme of domestic routine; some may have much more interesting things to offer than others.
RULES
1. The challenge is just for fun
2. IMAGES MUST BE TAKEN AFTER THE THEME IS ANNOUNCED.
3. Only one upload per member, uploaded in this thread.
4. If you win, you host the next week’s challenge - see note below.
NOTE
Hosting involves starting a new challenge thread (with or without an example image - your choice) - and coming back at the end of the week to choose a winner.
My example:

Among my wife's wonderful talents, is the complete inability to iron anything.
That is my job, always has been.
I broke my collarbone a few years back so she attempted to take over the ironing duties, and spent and hour ironing creases and wrinkles into clothes.

As I do 99.9% of the cooking, it seemed only right to feature something from the kitchen. Here we see a pan lid with simmering water in the pan.
16 stacked images taken with my trusty Laowa macro lens.

Fairy difficult effort
I see CB also likes to do washing up and has got there first but I wasn't too sure what else to do.
Over the past four days my hands and feet have come up with what we believe to be a case of discoid eczema. Not a pretty sight. It was just my feet for the first two days but I woke up on Saturday morning and it felt like my hands had been burnt in a fire. Every curved surface feels like it's a right angle. Every right angled surface of an object feels like it's a razor blade.
Possibly caused by my wife letting her mum do some of the washing and it's a result of my skin being irritated by different washing powder but I will probably never know.
Anyway, tightening the camera on the tripod was pure torture so much sympathy to all those who have to put up with this condition regularly. It is my first encounter with it.
So last night (Saturday) with a bit of washing up to do after dinner I just made use of the opportunity. My wife likes doing the ironing and I like doing the washing up.
