New challenge time and I noticed my thought had been done before but is sufficiently down the list of themes that it will not matter.

So this week the topic is Caps & Lids and this goes for any method of sealing a bottle, jar or container etc. Don't forget to put your own spin on it....but hopefully, not too tight. Smile

1.The challenge is just for fun.
3. The image must be uploaded in a comment in this thread by 8pm (UK time) on the following Sunday
4. Only one upload per member
5. The person who hosts is the judge for that week's challenge and the judge’s decision is final
6. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week
7. Photos in the thread, no links.
8. For new participants - if you win, you will have to set and judge the next week's challenge.
9. If you have trouble getting the lid off then ask the wife to loosen it first.

The Example....

I was going to bump but was worried I would knock a cap or lid off a container and spill something. Smile

Small, pocket-size bottle of spray for cleaning spectacles with its plastic cap in place.
As usual, taken with the Laowa 65mm 2:1 macro lens.

The squirty end of a silicon spray.

BTW - Eddie, I will miss the excitement this evening as I am away overnight.

Okay, Time is up. I just have to walk our 10 month old around the block to get her m to sleep and then I will be on the case for a decision. In the mean time keep a lid on it. Wink

OKAY, BACK AGAIN AND A DECISION HAS BEEN.....AAAARGHH I'VE GOT CAPS ON...... HOLD ON A SECOND.... THat's better. As I said, a decision has been made and although there were only four entries this week they are all of high quality so picking was quite difficult.

As per usual a line or two about each entry before announcing the winner.

Dave = Mrs D's Vera Wang bottle must have belonged to a king, it seems to have a crown. I did just google Vera Wang as I hadn't heard of it so now realise it is perfume but with all the hearts on the top I thought it could be a love potion. Smile

Malc - As you always make a spectacle of yourself it does help that they're clean. Nice high key and presentation of translucent bottle top. Smile

Andrew - The red tube is an instant giveaway. WD40 is something everyone should have in the cupboard and currently I do not have a can. Nicely composed as well. Smile

Pete - Another nice translucent subject and the backlighting works well. Yet another fairy good entry that you have dished up. Smile

Okay that's done so now to announce the winner. Anyone could have taken it this week but I have had to make a choice and king of the macro challenge this week is Dave with Mrs D's Vera Wang bottle. Nice details and B&W conversion too.

So well done to Dave and Many thanks to everyone for taking part this week!! Smile

Dave, I'm extremely impressed that you managed to get a photo of me taking care of little one and tapping out comments on my lappy. Grin

Oh damn.... MrsD will want a new bottle of perfume now she's contributed to the winning image.

Cheers Eddie.

Bad luck, Dave, that'll cost you! Thanks for a 🔝 challenge again this week, Eddie. Dave'll have a hard job topping that.
Thanks Eddie, both for the challenge and for not picking me to do next week's. Well done Dave, nice fragrant shot.
