The challenge this week is smoke or something related to smoke. So a wide choice from getting your incense sticks going and creative lighting e.g. https://www.ephotozine.com/article/photographing-smoke-patterns-13055 to food or (hopefully no longer used) smoking paraphernalia.

The rules:
1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. YOUR IMAGE MUST BE TAKEN AFTER THE THEME IS ANNOUNCED.
3. The image must be uploaded in a comment in this thread by 8pm (UK time) on the following Sunday
4. Only one upload per member
5. The person who hosts is the judge for that week's challenge and the judge’s decision is final
6. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week
7. Photos in the thread, no links.
8. For new participants - if you win, you will have to set and judge the next week's challenge

Good luck!

Just a little reminder - indeed, a smoke signal - that there is just over a day left to enter your smoky macros for this week's challenge.

Well, not exactly great, but an entry, at least...

First time I've tried photographing smoke ... quite a fun challenge. This smoke is from a large cook's match.

Smoke

I was thinking of blowing out a match to get some smoke that way. It had already been done (twice now) so next idea.....

.....roll some paper around a pencil, remove rhe pencil, set it at an angle, light the top end on fire and smoke comes out of the bottom end.

I'll let you into a little secret........I got the idea from a youtube video on smoke effects otherwise I would have gone the incense stick route.

I tried the incense before the match and it was a real disappointment, but that may be because the incense sticks are 20 years old...
