Here's a nice easy one. Hope to see a few new entrants: please could they, in particular, note Rule 2. Smile

Oh and another rule............... don't drop the subject of your photo! 😱

1.The challenge is just for fun.
2. YOUR IMAGE MUST BE TAKEN AFTER THE THEME IS ANNOUNCED.
3. The image must be uploaded in a comment in this thread by 8pm (UK time) on the following Sunday.
4. Only one upload per member.
5. The person who hosts is the judge for that week's challenge and the judge’s decision is final.
6. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week.
7. Photos in the thread, no links.
8. For new participants - if you win, you will have to set and judge the next week's challenge.

Time to potter about your home to find stuff to photograph.

Vases, ornaments, figurines - anything goes. Smile

25 hours to go. The stormy weather is surely keeping many indoors.☔❄️ It'll be nice to see some more entries 📸 Smile

Mine's all lined up for tomorrow - just have to shoot both ideas and then decide both are unusable and rethink the whole thing.Wink

Ceramic Egg Cup

Well I managed to potter(y) around and fired up an idea or two. I found this egg cup in a local charity shop.

I actually considered using flash and dropping an egg into it from a height and capturing the resulting mess but thought that would take away emphasis on the cup itself so I then resorted to light painting it. Smile

Not what I originally had in mind, so this is Plan C. Part of the control panel on my ceramic hob. As ever, taken with the Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2:1 macro lens.

Detail of a ceramic candle burner, complete with dust and airborne debris which can't be seen with the naked eye. Sad

Taken with a Tamron 90mm macro lens, recently acquired, with which I am very pleased.

Cripes this is difficult - 5 excellent macros - but here goes.Smile

Dave: Interesting take on the theme. I would not have guessed it was ceramic.

Chris (SlowSong): Similar idea to Dave. I like the fact that it is not immediately obvious what the subject is - you need to let your eye linger for a moment.

Eddie: This has got to be the one with the highest cuteness factor! Tongue

Malc (Saltireblue): Ah yes, that would not have occurred to me as a 'ceramic' - I do like the unexpected!

Andrew: I would not have had a clue what the object is. I actually like the dust and debris: helps to emphasise the macro nature of the photo.

I would genuinely like to say, in the words of the old song "Everyone's a Winner" but there can be only one. So I am giving it to (drum-roll)......................Andrew.

Well done to Andrew and we look forward to your challenge. 🙂👍

Thank you CB. Due to lack of imagination at this time of night I shall come up with the next week's theme tomorrow Smile
