Quote:So, having looked again at my entry I'm not happy with it. The original, before rotating and reversing it (silly me) looks better to me now. In the old days I could just have replaced the thing.....grumble, grumble..... but, I guess it isn't so important.
Lesson learnt, though, come back and look at things afresh rather than just ploughing on!

Upload the one you want and I'll delete the first one, Peter.

Thank-you, that's great. Of course, I'll probably look at it later and think what an idiot I was to do that, but here goes....

Come on you lot.
Black & White done for this week, it's time to show us the colour of your money.
Small change accepted.

Well, you get sucked away for a few weeks (very busy with work, other hobbies taking over for a while, etc.) and everything changes!!!
Managed to work things out though (I think).

Couldn't resist a light hearted submission this week. It's an image I did for another group elsewhere that I used to subscribe to a couple of years ago (much prefer this group - left the other one).

I decided to have another go at the shot for this challenge - see if I could improve it. Not sure I quite achieved what I set out to, but what the heck?!

Hope it makes you smile. Smile

Really struggled to find anything at all this week, due to lack of subject matter to hand. We don't use cash, normally, so had no banknotes in the house and only a few current coins. Don't have a Monopoly set, either, so no toy money...

Sounds like you needed an IOU. 😁

Hmmm...should I take my time with this week's challenge, or perhaps go at it hell for leather?🤔

(originally posted, out of old habits, in the thread which is now only for images...old dogs, new tricks and all that, but Chris was quick off the mark to point out the error of my ways)

Quote:Leather Tassels As found on my wife's Ugh boots the tassels are leather but the rest is not.

And I thought they were your tassels, Eddie, of the nipple type...Tongue

If they were mine then they wouldn't be hanging from my nipples. Grin
Hello all

I was going to just remind everyone that it's Sunday and gone 6 but I see there are some images up there already.

I will be tied up (no pun intended on the leather theme) this evening until about 10 so assuming I have been untied I will let you know the outcome then.

Andrew
Well, I asked for colour and texture and was not disappointed. All really interesting images.

Phil - I have been puzzling about what this is. The deep texture makes me think of rhino or elephant but who knows? The gold/copper colours are great.

Rob - again, an image that raises questions. I didn't know what a brigantine jack was but a (superficial) googling leads me to believe it is a medieval version of today's Kevlar vest; I'd be interested to know more. Glorious colour.

Linda - a wonderful evocation of 20th century life. I liked the way the text was so well differentiated by the tight depth of field. Incidentally I now use scraps of paper as I don't get on with online diaries.

Chris - only an old belt perhaps but one with history and a nice image; I liked the verdigris on the brass.

Malc - almost a face or a mask, lovely deep red colours.

Eddie - great lines and texture, and the background sets them off really well.

Dave - nice to see there's still quality in the modern car. Must be better than mine. The stitching really drew my eye through the image.

Alison - the colour range in this flower boot is really interesting; the little bits of green shoots are inspiring.

But there has to be one winner and I am drawn to the Ugh boot tassels (notwithstanding any other uses for them that my have been mooted in the discussion). So over to you Eddie, and thanks to everyone for taking part.

Just four and a half hours to go until judgement begins. So far I have not had a look. Smile
