Roughly halfway through the macro challenge week, and time to get your thinking caps on and lens caps off, lenses polished, batteries charged, subject chosen, put the cat out, write a shopping list, decide on the lighting/flash to use, select the background, make a cuppa, go back to the drawing board when you realise plan A won't work...

Well, as usual, I intend to plague you all with some comments on your individual uploads. I would like to keep it short and sweet and make one collective comment, but it doesn't do, does it? Well, I don't think it does, and as I am the judge this week, wot I say goes, so tough. Speaking of tough...the steak I used for today's dinner certainly came from an animal that died of old age. My false gnashers were only just about up to the job and my stomach juices are demanding a move. Still, tough old meat is better than a tough old bird...speaking of Mrs May...did you see the leader candidate debate/debacle? No, me neither. If Bojo wins, then I will be even more glad I upped and left, otherwise I'd be doing it now, and at my age, it's just too much ferkin hassle...innit!
What did you say? Oh, yes, the entries...I seem to have veered off course, just like a Land Rover pining for the grass and mud instead of asphalt, tarmac and concrete...
In order of uploading, as tradition demands...
Simon: Very colourful and straight to the point!
Phil: Very colourful. West Ham have reported the missing bubbles to the police.
Linda: Very colourful and music to my ears.
Eddie: Very colourful. Following the rules of the challenge to the letter, I see.
Chris: Very colourful. Chalk one up to you.
IL (all hail!): Colourful. I see you are blossoming as a photographer.
Don't go away, the decision may come sooner than you expect...or not...time will tell...

So, I thought for once I'd make it easy on myself, so I put all your names into a hat and pulled one out. The winner is...
...just kidding...
Appropriate theme and images, as it 'appens 'cause it's Pride Week in Oslo - no Chris, it's nothing to do with mother's bread - and the whole of the city centre is as colourful as your entries.
Pride of place this week goes to Phil for his bubbles and Fairy liquid.
Well done all of you and let's hope for a new exciting challenge appearing shortly, or in the course of time, at the end of the day, as Sir Humphrey would have said...
