I had to look at the topic list to see what's gone on before and I couldn't see this on the list. I thought about it when I was trying to read some teeny weeny writing on, of all things, some medication. I definitely need new specs, but having to use a magnifying glass to read important instructions is bonkers.

Anyway, the subject is Letters or Numerals, or both at the same time. Any language, any subject, any object. Just no naughty words that no-one can understand - I know what you lot are like. Smile

1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. YOUR IMAGE MUST BE TAKEN AFTER THE THEME IS ANNOUNCED.
3. The image must be uploaded in a comment in this thread by 8pm (UK time) on the following Sunday
4. Only one upload per member
5. The person who hosts is the judge for that week's challenge and the judge’s decision is final
6. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week
7. Photos in the thread, no links.
8. Have fun.

For new participants - please be aware that should you win, you will need to set a new challenge and judge it after 'closing time' the following Sunday.

I couldn't agree more, especially when someone has a food allergy and reading the ingredients on packaging is essential and often difficult.

Magnified versus non-magnified...I like the distortion of the text seen through the glass.

Borax

I was drawn to the lettering on this bottle in a folk museum we went to this week. I liked the line shading that is very much of its time.

Not so sure about the contents though. Anyone feeling the urge to try it out?! 😉

Golfball - I'm rather distressed to be old enough to have used one of these!

Start Point - a headland a little south of Dartmouth, marked by a lighthouse whose characteristics are given in the cryptic collection of letters and numerals on the chart. The little wave symbol under the A and R indicate that it can be rather rough at certain states of the tide and / or wind, to which I can attest.

Polaris World

I decided to go for the lettering and numeric denoting the voltage, wattage and type on the top of a lightbulb. During editing it kind of reminded me of a planet hence the title.

Oooh, Dave, Superheroes, Reminds me of Big Bang Theory.
Malc, double trouble. Nothing new there then.
Phil, love the clockface.
Make mine a double, Linda.
Alison, I remember those too. No reminder necessary. Gosh. Where did the time go.
I love maps, Andrew. This reminds me of Just William for some reason.
I've just blown one of these Eddie. Why are light bulbs so complicated these days?

Anyhoo, winner is Andrew because I love his map and all sorts of things to see from it. Smile
