Weekly Macro Challenge ending 8.00pm Sunday 19th January - Oil

Your topic this week is oil. There are many types of oil: for eating, cooking, heating, lubrication, massage, hair etc. so quite a range to choose from. Your challenge is to produce an interesting macro image relating to it
.
As usual, the rules:
1. The challenge is just for fun.
2. All images must be taken after the theme is announced.
3. The challenge runs until 8pm the following Sunday.
4. Only one upload per member.
5. Please feel free to comment on the entries once judging is complete.
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week challenge and the judge’s decision is final.
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge for the following week.
8. Have fun.
Good luck!

Don't forget Olive...

I'm away in Poland for a holiday from tomorrow - I should have internet access for the judging according to the hotel website but if it doesn't then it will depend on the phone signal, so apologies if I don't appear - you will just have to fight over who should be the lucky winner (it here are any entries of course

Cześć z polski!
Less than 4 hours to go for any more entries to this week's oily challenge. Hope that is slick enough Eddie 😊
We have had a good wildlife day in Bialowicz Forest, a stone's throw away from Belarus with European bison, woodpeckers, pygmy owl as the highlights. Unfortunately the misty, low cloud has not favoured any decent photographs. Hoping for clearer weather as the week progresses.

Cor blimey, guv! Having seen the other entries I didn't rate my chances. Still, it was fun to do, with endless possibilities, and way easier than the last winter indoor project I tried of water splashes - real splashes, not drops.
Many thanks, Phil - enjoy the rest of your holiday and well done to the other contestants for their imaginative entries.
Back asap with a new theme - may be tomorrow, depending on my brain...

Well done Malc!! I bet it must be like the low oil pressure warning light has just come on.
Many thanks Phil for this week!!
Also my first ever entry in this Macro Challenge group themed "Round or Spherical" was an Oil on Water shot here with marbles being refracted through oil drops. Then I run it through the spherize filter in Photoshop.
