Weekly Modifications Challenge - ends 6pm Mon. 20th Sept
Here's photo I took a year or so ago which I hope will provide plenty of scope for modification. Whilst the foreground is OK, the background is rather washed out, as is the sky. Plus there's all those buildings in the background . . . Location is Lake Titicaca, Peru.
Challenge guidelines:
1. Base image must be jpeg, full size, not resized and not processed in any form or fashion.
2. Download the base image by right clicking and saving to your device.
3. Modify in whatever way you wish - anything goes!
4. Upload your modified image to the thread as a new comment.
5. A limit of 3 modified images per person.
6. Comments on what you have done are encouraged - others are interested to know what effects have been applied.
7. The winner, as decided by the person running the challenge that week, will be announced as soon after the deadline on Mondays as possible.
8. Challenge setter must also inform the winner by PM in case they are not logged in.
9. The winner must upload a new challenge image asap, and at the latest in the course of Tuesday.

I'll go first then.
Added a couple of stock shots and applied a preset in Nik Colour Efex Pro 4. Cloned out buildings on far shore.

I'm not very good at layers so I subtly! added two sections of a local view.
Outboard motor on original boat.
Jetski to add some class!

Flipped image, changed sky, added picture frame, converted to mono
Wanted to give the impression of an early b/w photo.
Added biplane, including some sky. Removed insignia from wings.
Converted to B/W in Nik silver Efex.
Put into Analogue Efex for the grainy antique look, added some dirt & vignette.

Adjust contrast & exposure in Camera Raw
In Photoshop:
Crop & straighten (that tall building on the left seems to be leaning to me)
Adjust overall saturation
Adjust the sky
Reduce the saturation in the blue of the boat
.. and Robert is your parent's male sibling!
Fishers of Peru
Processed in ACR, then added Pelican and Heron, enlarged the boat and man a bit, removed some houses and buildings, but not all. Colour efex and added darken/lighten centre, brilliance/warmth, tonal contrasts, then in PS High pass sharpening.
Ordinary stuff:

2nd with a 'dehaze' filter (Photoscape) applied on top of the 's-curve' :

Ghost Rower
Removed boat and oarsman, then added new layer of complete image at 20% opacity to give the ghostly look
