Weekly Modifications Challenge - ends 6pm Mon. 20th Sept

This was difficult! So many modifications which range from the subtle to over the top. As such, this made making the final decision all the harder, as I had to go one way or another.
Before I announce the winner, I would like to say that it’s great to see the text accompanying the modifications, as (a) it’s interesting and (b) it should act as a trigger to experiment for others.
I would also add that it seems many of you (us!) use programmes other than Photoshop and Lightroom. When reading the photographic press, they definitely give an impression that the majority of photographers use these programmes, yet it may be there’s a much greater variety out there being used.
Anyway, to the decision:
It was extremely close with the decision being between Techno’s JWM Turner picture and Chase’s picture – I loved the addition of birds in both. What clinched it for me is the way Chase flipped the picture; as we read from left to right, this then gave the picture a natural lead-in line which, for me, really worked well with the subject matter . . . so many congratulations to Chase, who is this week’s winner.
