Just finished William Boyd's Restless. More of an action story than say Any Human Heart, but characters very believable and interesting. Enjoyed it a lot.
Also enjoyed Suetonius' Twelve Caesars, but that was many years ago.

Wuthering Heights, Emily Bronte.
I keep hearing Kate Bush's record so thought I'd finally get around to actually reading the book. It's not at all what I expected, and has quite an unsatisfactory ending. Everyone cries a lot and behaves very badly.
