Now that we're in a "stay at home" phase...

What have you been taking photos of?
Or what else have you been spending your time doing?

Gardening and chasing Bee Flies!! (Butterflies are on the wing, so they're next!) Grin Trouble with gardening is, although good exercise, it looks a little naked now and I can't get to a garden centre!

No photography and my processing is reasonably up-to-date. I may have to search though older unprocessed shots to see if I missed a few jewels.

I've been messing about in the garden - chasing any bug I find with a camera and simply sitting back and enjoying the sunshine Smile

I think I will be expected to go into work one day this week but no-one has contacted me so it certainly won't be tomorrow!

ditto, working my way through all the new species appearing in the Spring sun. Its all very late down in my part of Dorset, still waiting on my favourites such as the Bee flies and Hairy-footed Spring slower bees

No pictures yet, I've got lots to finish off processing.
Insects will be on the list, in the garden and on a local walk if the paths aren't still quagmires Some still lifes perhaps.

so far I've shot honey bee, common carder bee, Nomad species bee (haven't yet nailed which), common wasp, Drone fly, a nice friendly, house fly having a good wash and brush up with it tongue out, mating ladybirds, male + female gnats mating, Holly blue and peacock butterflies.

Either using my Olympus 60mm macro and today, just for fun, my 300mm f4 pro + 2X TC (1200mm full frame equivalent)

At the moment we are plagued with the annual mob of gnats of our local drinking water extraction plant, its always a while before they treat the sedimentation tanks to remove the larvae and stop them, good for the birds and spiders but a pain when trying to work in the garden

Mostly close-ups of plants in my case - this of alyssum, for example:

and this of a forget-me-not (not 'worked on' this one yet):

both with the Canon SX50. It's unfortunate that it doesn't give a nice blurry background because it's so nice and easy to use but manages some good detail / colours.
