What was your first digital camera and do you still own it?

My first real one was a Olympus C700UZ (Ultrazoom), still have the photos I took with it and many are treasured. No idea of the fate of the camera.

First DSLR was Canon's 300D - the first sub 1k DSLR IIRC. Still got loads of photos from that but it was sold on ebay when it was about three years old.

My first was a Pentax Optio 30 then a Canon Powershot ? I broke the rear screen on that.

I had a 10x8 print made from the 3.2 mp Pentax and it has done well in competitions.

My first was a Canon EOS 20D. Some years ago, I had it converted to Infrared so it is still used occasionally.

My memory on this is a bit hazy because I borrowed a few from work before I actually bought my own - we had an Apple One in the very dim past which was actually only digitised video - it was pretty crummy and I don't think I have any images at all from that device.

The earliest I can clearly remember owning was an Olympus C1400L which I had nicked. As it was a TTL camera I was successfully able to argue it should be replaced by another of that ilk - and got a C2500L which I do still have in a cupboard somewhere. Incredibly limited by today's standards, but I do have a good few shots I took with it, still.

My first DSLR was the excellent Nikon D70. I still have that, but it lies dead in a drawer. I took many thousands of shots with that and it really helped to reignite my passion for photography as it finally brought together the convenience of digital with the control of the gear I learned to shoot with at college and then with my own SLRs.

Nikon Coolpix 885 - with the all important purple flash on the handgrip.....and a mighty 3 Mpx sensor... (back around 2001)..
Still with me, but buried in a drawer somewhere..! having been surgically removed a couple of years later...
First DSLR was a D50 - which youngest daughter "liberated" a while later...

Canon Ixus 500. A whopping 5 megapixels! Cool little pocket-size camera.

Here's one of the shots I took with the Oly 2500 - it was in an early portfolio I produced. [Which is why I've still got it, my hard drive with most of my early files went in a burglary a few years later.

A Ricoh RDC-5300 , bought in 2000. It was a victim, I think, of the capacitor plague .

My first was a Minolta DImage A1, which was a pretty good camera though the battery life was abysmal. I still have some shots taken with it back in 2004. I PX'ed it for a Nikon D70 which I still have. It's a bit battered but still works. I've been through various Nikons since then (my D90 is now my son's) and I have moved on to MFT with a Lumix G80. I'm still getting used to it but so far I'm impressed with the IQ though I admit the handling is not as slick as my D7000. The weight difference, however, is incredible, which was the reason for changing.

Our Kodak DC215 was a mighty beast with 1mpix output and 2x optical zoom: it used 4x AA batteries every 60 shots or so.

Our first DSLR was a Nikon D50, followed by a D200 and then a D2h - we still own and use the dslr's allbeit occasioally.

UMAX AstraPix 540 2mp - Wasn't at all reliable, had to have a driver to connect to PC which was even less reliable. Long gone.

My first one was a Practica compact that I won on a competition on a monthly magazine in 2003.

It wasn't bad but very slow and it ate AA batteries. I sold it to a friend who probably still has it somewhere?
