I've come to the conclusion that the problem was due to allowing the front of the camera to open rapidly under its own steam, causing the the bellows to suck in the first frame. The leading edge of the first frame is a bit of a mess, being somewhat indeterminate. I scan in strips of three.

After the first strip things settle down. Presumably being drawn across the rollers during wind-on flattened the film against the pressure plate.

I only opened the bellows once during the session, which only took about 10 minutes to shoot off the twelve exposures.

This completes the Winter Trees" part of my project. It would would appear that it's going to be unlikely to shoot the next part "Spring Trees" and possibly "Autumn Trees". If we still here to repeat the project next year, well, that will be a ' win-win' situation in itself.

Be safe.

Glad to get 'The Mentions' bu I cannot suggest what is wrong -- I have a new scanner now, the Canon 9000F Mk II and the holder for strips of 3 120 does not hold them flat enough so I have gone back using a home-made Cardboard Mask set and scanning one at a time. Spent most of YESTERDAY in Southend Hospital having a 2 unit Blood Transfuson but on Sunday went out with my 1956 Minolta Autocord with 75mm f3.5 Chiyoko Rokkor lens loaded with 11/2002 dated Fuji NPC 160 rated 100ASA

I had one of these in the early '60's. Really sharp lens. I walked around the top of the City Wall, Dubrovnik, carrying the camera and a tripod in the afternoon sun.

Mad Dogs and Englishmen.....!Wink

Arrived this morning. I didn't know the waist level viewfinder with magnifier was included. It was in a separate Vivitar box. Should come in handy for exact focusing.

Today actually.
Exposure No. 20.
Landscape (and water). Or a family picture for two people (of a family of three) who dislike having their picture taken. The third person could not make it to come. She was departed.
