I have 630.00 to spend on a camera a Canon 40D and I am trying to get the best deal for my money..Jessops will not throw in anything apart from the cash back which is from Canon...but I have come across ABC cameras has anybody out there dealt with them...they are charging 610.00 for the body only and free postage...which sounds really good to me..but having only bought from Jessops I am a wee bit weary

Hi, i don't know about ABC but i generally refer to camera price buster for best online prices. Here is the link http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/prod576.html.

Sorry, while typing the reply coltranekoh beat me to it. I am not the fastest typist.

Why not support the site by using the ephotozine shop (warehouse Express) and asking for a price match. Or use the click through on this site for Park Cameras - who support through advertising here... their price is 610 also (as Simon mentioned). Wink

Just had a quick look at completed items on ebay, the 40D body has been selling secondhand for over 500. Work that one out. If you buy from one of the online retailers for 600 and take into consideration the 100 cashback you end up with a new one with warranty for 500..

Because a lot of people on ebay assume it is cheaper and they end up paying more than new price for second hand and even sometimes grey without warranty. The auction excitment seems to also get to people's head.
There are some genuine bargains on ebay though but it's not systematic.

most e.bayers are importing it at 407 all inc as there is no vat on cameras without a fixed lens, they then sell it on to you at 500.
Not a bad proffit
