Looks like some fabulous images to be seen, as usual. Here's the linky thing.

I love the winner, and the wasps are brilliant. Looking forward to getting into town to see this exhibition.

Some amazing photography (being in the right place at the right time helps! Wink ) - The wasps are brilliant, but I think my favourite is the Squid!! Grin

I do like the winner but it is slightly spoiled for me by the obvious signs of having had a lot of processing work.

I didn't think that was allowed to any great extent.

The original/raw image will have been checked along with all the finalists, back in my day some images from well known photographers were rejected... More image processing has made its way in to what is allowed such as focus stacking which I pressed for inclusion for quite a while.

Nothings been altered on it other than the colour has clearly been pushed and there are signs of mapping.

Still takes a lot of leg work and knowledge to even know where to put the trap.

Thanks for the link, all are great i have also seen them elsewhere, but i don't understand why in every competition only winning images are published, but in fact it is much more important to see other entries, so that we can get a rational interpretation as to why the winning images are selected as winner, and that may improve the photography as a whole...

They want people to visit the exhibition. You can buy the book.
